Wheel‑Y Good Ways To See a City This Summer (And Save While You Do)
How’s the summer treating you so far?  Staying cool? Much of the country, and the world, in fact, is experiencing a heat wave right now.

I’m spending the summer in Pittsburgh, where the temperature is the same as in Austin, Texas, right now.
The first thing I did when I got here, before I even fully unpacked, was take a bike tour of the city.
I like experiencing places from different perspectives, whether on foot, by kayak, bike, or some other mode of transportation.
Seeing a city from a bike is completely different from driving through it. When you’re on a bike, you get a more immersive, truly up-close-and-personal experience. You’re in it. Right there. Eye level with everything.
We rode right through the heart of the Strip District on a busy Sunday morning. Passing by the crowd waiting at Pamela’s for brunch, cruising past the many Pittsburgh souvenir shops and cute coffee shops, watching people just… living their Sunday. And we got to ride right through the middle of all of it, embracing the sights, sounds, and smells.
A different way of moving through a place changes everything about how you experience it. A walking tour of your own city. A kayak instead of a boat. An e-bike through a neighborhood you’ve driven through a hundred times. It doesn’t take much to shift the perspective.
