Probe the Globe has been online in different formats since 2001. In 2021, we rebranded as a dedicated travel publication, expanding our editorial vision to include cultural insights, destination guides, and practical resources. Since 2023, we’ve been a direct publishing partner with MSN, where our stories consistently reach over 1 million views each month. Think of it this way: if you were telling a friend about a place they *have* to experience, how would you share it? That’s the kind of story we want. We publish a mix of destination guides, cultural features, and practical travel tips. Strong pitches usually:

• Establish authority: Share personal experience, on-the-ground insight, or well-researched recommendations.
• Spark curiosity: Highlight destinations, activities, or perspectives that feel fresh and specific.
• Offer guidance: Give concrete suggestions or takeaways that help readers plan meaningful trips.

We love content that is current, aligned with travel trends, and that solves problems or answers questions for different demographics of travelers. This includes stories for families traveling with teens and young adults, multigenerational trips, wellness and health-focused travelers, middle-aged or empty nesters seeking a mix of activities and relaxation, travelers on a budget, and more.

Contributor Guidelines

• Length: What matters most is that your story provides value to readers, not that it meets a rigid word count or paragraph structure. In general, features tend to run 750–1,200 words, while listicles or roundups usually include around 20 headings/items.
• Tone: Conversational, practical, curiosity-driven. We avoid clichés and prefer straightforward, sensory-rich language.
• Destination descriptions should be at least three sentences to meet syndication and SEO standards.
• Seasonality: Non-evergreen pitches should make sense for the calendar (e.g., summer escapes pitched in spring).
• Disclosure: Be transparent about press trips, sponsorships, or affiliate links.
• No unsolicited manuscripts—please pitch first.

We love stories that align with the seasons. Here’s how we think about timing:

• Spring (March–May): Family road trips, national parks, spring festivals, wildflower hikes. Pitch window: Nov–Feb. Pitch spring stories by January.
• Summer (June–Aug): Coastal escapes, island getaways, multigenerational vacations, outdoor adventures. Pitch window: Feb–Jul. Pitch summer escapes by March.
• Fall (Sept–Nov): Heritage travel, historic towns, foliage drives, harvest festivals. Pitch window: May–Aug. Pitch fall stories by July.
• Winter (Dec–Feb): Holiday destinations, ski resorts, cozy retreats, wellness escapes. Pitch window: Aug–Nov. Pitch holiday travel by September.
