A somewhat spontaneous road trip to San Diego over Christmas break led us on an unexpected detour through Phoenix. Rather than endure the whole 18-hour drive from Austin to San Diego in a single day, we decided to break up the journey with a few days in Phoenix. While Phoenix, Arizona, wasn’t originally on our itinerary, we welcomed the opportunity to explore a new city and bypass a stay in Tucson. As a breakfast and brunch lover, I’m always on the lookout for top-rated establishments during our travels. Upon my husband’s colleague’s recommendation and reading glowing reviews on Google, Butters Pancakes and Cafe caught our attention. Intrigued by its extensive menu, we decided to give it a try.

Review of Butters Restaurant in Scottsdale

After scanning the extensive menu, we couldn’t wait to taste some of the items Butters had to offer.

Menu Marvels

Butters offers a diverse selection of breakfast, lunch, and kids’ meals. Their breakfast options cater to every palate, from pancakes and French toast to eggs and omelets. The lunch menu features burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and salads, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Kids under 12 can enjoy mini cakes, French toast sticks, and more.

Quench Your Thirst

In addition to their delectable fare, Butters boasts an array of beverages, including juices, smoothies, teas, coffees, and soft drinks.

Our party of four relished every bite of our meals. The corned beef hash topped with two eggs was a particular favorite, accompanied by fluffy pancakes. I couldn’t resist upgrading to a specialty cake—the blueberry Danish was delicious. The ambiance and culinary offerings reminded me of Snooze AM Eatery, another beloved breakfast spot. So, if you like Snooze, you’ll probably like Butters, too.

Hours: Butters Scottsdale welcomes guests seven days a week, from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Weekends, especially between 9 am and 12 pm, tend to be the busiest times. Use Yelp to join the waitlist if you plan to visit during peak hours.
